Our Thirteenth Anniversary!

Fremont Peak was called Gavilan Peak in early Spanish times.
It's here where the American flag was first raised on California soil
March 4, 1846 by General John Fremont.

How many park rangers does it take to raise a flagpool?

Our campsite is just up and to the right of center. The town of Salinas is in the valley.
